Solving problems of inequality and achieving real change will require authentic, inclusive and intentional leadership. The most effective leaders are cultivating new traits, including empathy, self-awareness, vulnerability, cultural competence, emotional intelligence, and risk taking. They are personally committed to diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), purpose and sustainability - and are willing to hold themselves and others publicly accountable for results.
