Welcome to the ICF NYC Chapter, one of the top-five largest ICF chapters in the world. We are committed to our members, the coaching profession, and to the consumers of our coaching services. We strive to create opportunities for growth personally and professionally, to support our members, and to develop everlasting relationships.
2020 was an unimaginable and extraordinary year and in so many ways highlighted and tested our values. We witnessed unbelievable acts of compassion, kindness, and community. It was a year of incredible resilience and strength. As an ICF Chapter, we removed obstacles, found new ways to connect, and created opportunities to be of service to our Chapter members. 2020 was all about us holding our values dear to us in order to survive, and why ICF NYC thrived.
Leaning into our values of Integrity, Excellence, Collaboration, and Respect, we quickly converted our professional development to virtual opportunities, built out our membership engagement initiatives, and added more networking opportunities through our CoachCafes and Town Halls. We also made changes to our Chapter Bylaws looking through a more respectful lens of diversity and inclusion. More members than ever have taken active roles in committees which address community outreach, member engagement, marketing, and we strengthened our relationships with other institutions that help shape the coaching landscape.
We have big plans for 2021, the Chapter’s 20th Anniversary. There are still a few obstacles confronting us in early 2021. We are resilient and we will not be stopped as we carry out our Mission and Vision and celebrate our 20th Anniversary milestone. I am looking forward to honoring our long history, creating and living in right now, and imagining for our future.
I know I will forever be changed because I joined the ICF NYC Chapter. Specifically, because of the people I've met, the community I have been welcomed into with open arms, and the experiences I’ve had since joining the chapter, joining the Board of Directors, and as President. Thank you!
