Professional Summary

Michele serves as a strategic advisor and executive coach to established, aspiring and transitioning leaders across diverse professions and sectors.

Michele supports individuals to help clarify and achieve their aspirations, build skills, improve communications, navigate relationships and enhance their overall effectiveness and satisfaction. Her coaching is action-oriented and results-focused.

Michele’s coaching draws from her broad and successful career in senior management and global communications, as well as her work as a business journalist and lawyer. Previously, Michele led Global Communications and Public Affairs for Shire plc, and held diverse leadership positions for Novartis AG, concluding her 14-year career with the Swiss pharmaceuticals company as Global Head of Communications, based in Basel, Switzerland.

Earlier in her career, Michele was a Managing Director in the global public relations firm, Burson-Marsteller, where she specialized in change communication, crisis management and strategic philanthropy. She is an award-winning journalist and worked as an Editor at Business Week magazine.

Michele is a member of the New York State Bar and practiced law at Stroock, Stroock & Lavan, and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom. She currently serves as an independent board of director and chair of the Nominating & Governance Committee for Cardax, Inc. (CDXI), and a member of the Boards of Directors of Symphony Space and the Iyengar Yoga US association, where she is Secretary. Formerly, she served on the Board of Advisors for MK&A, a global constituency consultancy firm, as a pro bono advisor to the UNICEF Office of Public Advocacy, and on the boards of Global Oncology, the Global Health Council and Stupid Cancer.

Michele received a B.A. from George Washington University, M.S. from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, and J.D. from New York University School of Law. She received her certification in executive coaching from Columbia University.
