Brendalyn King - ICF NYC Director of Professional Development

Brendalyn King is a Leadership & Development Coach with Bhavana Learning Group. She describes herself as “an old-soul millennial, from a lineage of strong educators and entrepreneurs” Her great-aunt and grandmother both began careers in Oklahoma, teaching over 70 years combined.

Brendalyn is ICF credentialed as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC). As a Founding member of Bhavana Learning Group, Brendalyn serves as an executive coach specializing in Leadership Development. She also leads the firm’s monthly Coaches Salon Community Hub to cultivate a Coaching Mindset via Deep Listening Practices. Brendalyn also serves as a Meditation guide at the firm’s weekly Practice field, which services the firm’s clients.

Brendalyn delivers a commitment, rooted in serving human beings as deeply connected to discovery in learning organizations. As co-founder of a charter school in Brooklyn, Brendalyn cultivated a learning organization for students, staff, parents, and the community and was honored – as one of the founders – with a National Blue-Ribbon School of Excellence award from the Department of Education in 2017.

As Director of outreach and strategic partnerships at Bhavana Learning Group, Brendalyn connects with individuals and organizations interested in leadership that cultivate learning cultures and learning dialogues rooted in exploring the nature of being. As director of the monthly Coaches Salon at Bhavana Learning Group, she supports developing deep listening, unlearning, and presence.

As a Leadership Coach and Teacher, Brendalyn employs generative language tools and practices to increase individual performance and cultivate presence that aligns purpose and meaning for her clients. She specializes in innovative “fulfillment structures” that support a generative mindset and works with professionals to increase their capacity for leadership collaboration and contemplative practices. Brendalyn is committed to supporting high achievers in unlearning habitual patterns to create space for emergence. She believes in human potential.
