The Event
Purpose: The Leadership Community of Practice is designed to provide a space to explore, discuss, collaborate, gain support, and build competence in coaching personal and organizational leadership.
Objective: The first session is designed to introduce a foundational leadership framework and generate discussion with coaches in applying various leadership styles to diverse coaching contexts.
Learning elements:
Outcomes: By the end of the session, attendees will have access to a common leadership framework, guidance on helping clients discover leadership styles most appropriate for them as well as supporting leaders in choosing a style that best enables engagement and impact during this challenging year.

Tanea is the Executive Director of Learning & Development for Columbia University where she leads a team responsible for leadership, management and professional skill development. Tanea also leads a private coaching practice, Design You Coaching (TM) that offers leadership coaching and organizational development. Tanea started her career as a Change Management Consultant for Accenture, Inc., and has served as the head of Learning & Development teams across multiple industries for over 20 years. She has led personal, leadership and team development initiatives in media, entertainment, technology, sales, legal, consumer products, technology, advertising, telecommunications, beauty, education, research and healthcare. Her most recent clients include WPP, VOLS, Brooklyn Academy of Music, the Whitney Museum and Facebook.
Tanea holds an MA in Social-Organizational Psychology from Columbia University, her BA in Psychology from Lehigh University, and Coaching Certification from New York University. She is an ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC) and holds certifications in mindful leadership through the Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute (SIYLI); Designing Your Life (DYL) created at Stanford University, facilitation through Development Dimensions Incorporated (DDI), as well as MBTI, DiSC, LIFO, and CPI 260.
