Member Bio
Glenda M. Francis is a certified professional life coach and educator. She is the Founder of Audacious Inner Works (AIW) Institute™ for personal development and architect of the ARISE© Coaching Model for personal unfolding and transformation. She earned her coaching credential from the International Coach Academy (ICA), an ICF accredited school with “a 20-year reputation for excellence and a unique ‘no single model’ approach.”

Glenda is a masterful educator whose teaching practices have profoundly impacted a wide diversity of students, teachers, and school communities over a span of 25 years. As a constructivist educator, she is fiercely committed to educational equity and social justice for all students especially students of color who are often the most vulnerable and underserved. The hallmark of her teaching practices includes facilitating their intellectual dispositions, communication skills, and self-agency towards fulfilling their potential and role as global citizens. She actively collaborates with educators who share these guiding principles and facilitates professional development opportunities for educators on topics related to equity, growth mindset, and content coaching.

Whether teaching young minds, coaching educators, facilitating empowerment institutes, or partnering with clients, Glenda has thrived in a sustained mission to cultivate greatness in the human potential. She engages you with love, deep listening, and a fierce commitment to your learning and transformation. An “inspirational powerhouse,” you can experience Glenda’s magnetic presence and warmth through coaching conversations and AIW’s programs and institutes.

Glenda also holds a Bachelor of Arts, Magna Cum Laude, in Black and Puerto Rican Studies from Hunter College of the City University of New York (CUNY) and a Master of Arts, Magna Cum Laude, in the School of Education, Department of Applied Psychology, from New York University.

Glenda is a life-long learner committed to her own growth and development, and to pursuing a robust life anchored in her well-being. A native Caribbean “island girl,” Glenda loves the tropics. When she’s not pursuing professional or personal interests in New York City, she can usually be found sunbathing on a beautiful beach or barefoot somewhere in the tropics. She lives in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, with her husband and life partner of 28 years.
