Program Themes

ICF NYC’s programming builds around four key themes. The themes aim to provide a framework to align speakers to members’ expressed interests, as well as to provide a visual guide to the ICF NYC Events calendar and the type of event.

At the same time, ICF NYC’s events programming falls into three primary event types. These event types serve to reinforce each other across learning and connection across the program themes and provide members with a variety of learning opportunities and experiences:

1. LEARN

Formal professional development events that feature learning objectives and outcomes, structured agendas, both ICF NYC members and external speakers, and the issuance of Core Competency and Resource Development CCEUs as appropriate to the event content and approved by ICF Global

2. READ

Facilitated discussions as part of the Breakfast and a Book Club monthly meeting series delve into that month’s book to examine the implications on your coaching practice. Core Competency and Resource Development CCEUs as appropriate to the event content and approved by ICF Global

3. CHAT

Informal meetings and events focused on community building and peer support, including CoachCafes, Town Halls and other social events. Some, but not all, events may qualify for issuance of a Resource Development CCEU.

We continue to research speakers and add to the event calendar, so please share suggestions with us at professionaldevelopment@icfnycchapter.org or join our committee and take lead on planning an event!
