Committee: CoachCafe

What we do: CoachCafe meetings offer a safe and intimate environment where coaches can help each other to grow their coaching businesses. We build a community of ICF NYC Chapter members to have a go-to place to gather in-person and online for support, connection, and fun. This is a space where members can meet other ICF coaches to share ideas, questions, and solutions and tips on specific topics.

Why this is important: Our ICF members represent the highest quality of professional coaches as well as being the lifeblood of our organization. This is a dynamic community with each one of us having a tremendous gift to offer. Imagine how powerful we are a collective and collaborative team – we can be even more effective as change-makers.

How you can help:

  • Facilitate CoachCafe meetings (You need to attend at least three CoachCafe meetings to quality as a facilitator.)
  • Handle administrative tasks running the meetings
  • Encourage participant engagement in between meetings by managing a group platform (WhatsApp, FB Group, Slack, etc.)

If you enjoy connecting with new people to help strengthen our community, joining the CoachCafe Committee would be a great idea for you. It's also an excellent opportunity for you to sharpen your facilitation skills on a regular basis.

"I am currently a Coach Café Facilitator with the ICF NYC Chapter. Volunteering with this chapter has been an enriching experience for me. I'm surrounded by some of the most encouraging and friendly individuals including the leadership committee who motivate me to become a more effective coach and leader. I would encourage you to take the step and become a volunteer with this amazing group!”– Karlene Roberts, M.S. Ed, CRC
